All images & videos created by Rook Barber Photography are licensed, not sold. The type of license determines how you may use your content. By default, all sessions include a personal usage license. Any use beyond that requires additional licensing.

You may use your images & videos for:
– Personal social media posts (with credit/tag where practical)
– Personal websites & portfolios
– Personal prints, albums, or private displays
– Non-commercial performance or audition materials
Personal usage does not include advertising, resale, or promotional activity that generates revenue or brand visibility.
Commercial usage grants permission to use licensed images or videos to promote a business, brand, or product. Examples include:
– Business or professional social media pages
– Brand or company websites
– Local advertisements, posters, or promotional content
Video licensing available by quote per minute or clip length.
Extended usage is required for widespread commercial campaigns or content distributed through external or third-party channels. Examples include:
– National or international advertising campaigns
– Press placements, billboards, or paid partnerships
– Product packaging or retail distribution
Video licensing available by quote based on reach & distribution.
Editorial use applies to magazines, blogs, or publications where the content accompanies an article or story rather than a direct advertisement. Examples include:
– Fashion or lifestyle editorials
– Interviews or creative features
– Arts & culture publications
Editorial use requires clear credit to the photographer:

A Commercial Buyout grants unlimited, perpetual rights to use the licensed content across all commercial and promotional mediums. Once purchased, no additional renewals or annual fees apply.
Rates: Determined by the intended scope of use and negotiated upon request.
– No image or video created by Rook Barber Photography may be uploaded to AI platforms, machine-learning datasets, or generative tools without written consent.
– Clients may not edit, filter, or alter images in a way that misrepresents the photographer’s artistic intent.
– Cropping or resizing for format compatibility is acceptable if it does not distort composition or presentation.
– Personal usage licenses are perpetual.
– Commercial and editorial licenses are valid for one (1) year from the date of delivery unless otherwise stated in writing.
– Renewals must be requested prior to the expiration date to avoid interruption in authorized use.
Any use of content outside the licensed scope is a breach of contract. Unauthorized commercial or editorial use will be billed at three times the applicable licensing rate, plus administrative and legal costs if necessary.
Licenses can be upgraded at any time.
